Raj Kumar Agarwal from Kolkata, India, was elected to serve a two-year term as an international director of Lions International at the association's 106th International Convention in Melbourne, Australia, June 21 through June 25, 2024.
Director Agarwal has 38 years of experience in the travel management industry. He is currently the director at The Travel Point, where he manages finances.
Director Agarwal started his journey with Lions International as a member of the Leo Club of Central Calcutta, where he served until 1987. He then joined the Lions Club of Calcutta Ganga in 1987, and is currently a member of Lions Club of Kolkata Classic since 2017.
He has held several offices within the association, including club president, club secretary, district governor, region chairperson, zone chairperson, cabinet treasurer, multiple secretary, membership, leadership and global service chairperson, among others.
In recognition of his service to the association, Director Agarwal has received numerous awards, including the Lion of the Year Award, International President's Appreciation Certificate, multiple International President's Medals, multiple Extension Awards and multiple Membership Key Awards. He is also a PMJF and a major donor to LCIF.
Director Agarwal and his wife, Reena Agarwal, have two children.
